Essence of Martial Arts Training: Instructional Video
Mastering Martial Speed Without Clashing with the Opponent
Tetsuzan Kuroda, the 15th head of Shimbukan, is a renowned ancient martial artist known for his mesmerizing speed in drawing the sword without showing any preparatory movement.
Key concepts in understanding his remarkable movements include:
Musoku no Hō (Method without stepping)
Absolute negation of ordinary movements (Absolute Denial of Force)
Jun Tai Hō (Method of using neither hands nor feet)
The Kuroda Theory, which can be seen as a modern oral tradition.
To embody these theories, Shimbukan employs a unique training method known as "Play Practice", which focuses on extracting and honing the essence of ancient martial arts.
